Update Sunday morning, 4.3.

It's still freezing cold - so the (English held) garden tour today will take place mostly inside the warm cafe - and we will only have a short glimpse outside in the frozen garden!  There will be no herb tasting, as we cannot harvest during the frost, but Botanico gardener Natasha will explain to you about the  perennial plants of a forest garden who will wake up as soon as spring will finally come. There will be no charge today for this shortened tour,  but contributions are always welcome.

Of course you can also come for a piece of orange crostata or lunch today! Our menu is fully available - only that we have to buy salad from the greenhouse.

Sunday 4th March 12pm / Sonntag 04.03.2018 um 12:00

Please come and join us for a special garden tour with Natasha Weddepohl, the cafes gardener, to learn about the garden from her perspective, and gain insight into what it is that is growing in the garden at this time of the year and how it is that we are still harvesting incredible salads in the icy winter of Berlin! You will learn what native edible species are growing at this time of year, and what other techniques have been employed to prolong and extend our growing season.
Ths is a unique experience to learn about what wild edibles we have in our local landscape and to familiarise yourself with a local contained setting.

Additionally to this, we will talk a bit about permaculture, and the concept of seasonal eating, and what is up and coming in the garden in the coming seasons work and planning wise.

We will finish off the tour in the cafe with a warm (or cold) drink and a discussion.

Looking forward to meeting you!
Please Note: the tour will be held in English

Contribution: 10 Euro, including a warm drink of your choice.
